Nordic Nuclear Trainee Program
The Nordic Nuclear Trainee Program (NNTP) is a 15-month program starting in September 2024. It is a great opportunity for new Nordic nuclear professionals to gain business understanding, build knowledge, and network with other professionals in the industry. The program is organized jointly by the four Nordic nuclear operators – Fortum, Teollisuuden Voima (TVO), Uniper and Vattenfall – and the participants will have the opportunity to get to know several of the companies through a rotation system.

Insights from the first module
The first module was exciting. We spent a lot of time getting to know each other, and it seems like we have a good group of people in this program. Besides networking, we also had some informative presentations. The module concluded on the third day with a visit to the Forsmark nuclear power plant.
Loviisa Nuclear Power Plant
Our 750 nuclear professionals play an important role in the decarbonization of the energy system. We have been safely operating the Loviisa nuclear plant in Finland for over 40 years. The operating licence of Loviisa power plant is valid until 2050, which means that we will need the expertise of a wide range of professionals well into the future.
Extensive competence in nuclear
We are co-owner of several nuclear power plants in the Nordics. We implement own nuclear power projects, have strong focus in nuclear R&D and provide expertise to new nuclear and hydrogen projects. Through extensive inhouse competence we also offer our services to nuclear industry globally and are investigating opportunities in nuclear new build.
