The first module was exciting. We spent a lot of time getting to know each other, and it seems like we have a good group of people in this program. Besides networking, we also had some informative presentations.
One of the presentations was about the Nordic power markets, where we learned about current trends and future outlooks. Another presentation talked about safety and leadership in the nuclear industry, highlighting best practices and key challenges. We also had a session on reactor physics, which gave us a deep look into fundamental principles and recent advancements in the field. It was eye-opening to hear how extending the life of current power plants is also being investigated in Sweden.
The module concluded on the third day with a visit to the Forsmark nuclear power plant. There, we learned about innovation, research and development projects, asset management, and the possible lifetime extension of the plant. It was interesting to hear about the investigation into lifetime extension, which seems to be a trend in the Nordics.
After the first, I'm looking forward to the next ones.
