Fortum Innovation does not stand alone – we innovate and work as a part of a rich ecosystem. We create value for our customers, the research community, and startups. The ecosystem consists of customers and partners who have similar needs and goals as us to accelerate decarbonisation, solve energy flexibility issues, and mitigate biodiversity impacts. We collaborate on multiple levels with a variety of ecosystem members to innovate for a thriving world. We are continually looking for new business ideas, technologies, startups, and partners to join us.

Innovation means doing something that has not been done before – and we cannot do that alone. The ecosystem consists of the innovation and startup communities, venture capital funds, existing and future customers, municipalities and the third sector, as well as the extensive research sphere. We bring together our ecosystem members to work closely with Fortum’s businesses to develop new products and services.
Valkea Growth Club
Fortum Launched Valkea Growth Club in June 2020 to offer business development support and funding for startups and growth companies. We invest in high growth and game-changing companies, who can help deliver Fortum’s carbon neutrality ambition with digital-first solutions.
