Fortum is proud to announce the launch of its Innovation Challenge, Fortum Spark – an initiative designed to discover and support innovative ideas that can advance the electrification and decarbonisation of industries and support flexible energy systems. The challenge invites visionary innovators, early-stage startups, and future founders to present ideas that have the potential to shape the future of energy. The winner will receive up to €50,000 and six months of development support from Fortum to help turn their idea or emerging business into reality.

Electrifying and decarbonising industries is a significant hurdle on the journey to carbon neutrality and sustainability. Fortum Spark calls for ideas that have the potential to drive progress and work at a large scale. The challenge additionally seeks innovations that improve the delivery and reliability of clean energy, benefiting both users and the broader energy system.

Submit your ideas through the Fortum Spark Innovation Challenge platform from 3 September through 29 September 2024. The winner will be announced at Fortum’s Side Event during Slush 2024, gaining exposure to industry leaders and potential partners.
