Fortum and Suomen Yrittäjät, an interest and service organisation for entrepreneurs in Finland, have signed a cooperation agreement, according to which Fortum will become Suomen Yrittäjät's responsible partner in energy matters.
Fortum’s target is to help entrepreneurs achieve their emissions targets by offering smart energy solutions, such as monitoring and optimising energy consumption, and direct energy advice.
"Fortum's strategy is to power a world where people, businesses and nature thrive together. This cooperation with Suomen Yrittäjät is a perfect example of how we implement and promote our strategy in everyday life," says Tommi Varhama, Director, Entrepreneur and Small Enterprise, Nordic Solutions at Fortum.
Suomen Yrittäjät is Finland’s largest interest and service organisation in business life in terms of membership. The organisation promotes the cause of entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized companies. Suomen Yrittäjät is pleased to start the energy cooperation.
"Every company and entrepreneur needs energy and wants it responsibly produced and at a competitive price. I'm happy that we can offer responsible, competitive and smart energy solutions to entrepreneurs through the cooperation with Fortum," says CEO Mikael Pentikäinen from Suomen Yrittäjät.
The cooperation also includes various benefits and services, which will be announced in more detail when the cooperation begins in January 2024. Fortum will also be one of Suomen Yrittäjät’s main cooperation partners at their ‘National Entrepreneur Days’ event and will be present at their other key events.
"Suomen Yrittäjät is a significant player, with some 100,000 member companies operating under its banner. We want to enable them to make use of Fortum's expertise and comprehensive energy services more economically and effortlessly," says Varhama.
