In the Fortum app, you can securely manage all changes related to your electricity contract and monitor your home’s energy consumption in a versatile way. The service also allows you to track electricity prices in real time and plan your daily electricity usage.

The service is also available as an online service. Log in to access all information related to your electricity contract. You can also view and pay your bills, and see details about payment status and billing intervals. The service also lets you easily monitor your consumption and compare it across different time periods.

Always use the latest version of the app
If you don’t want your phone to automatically update app versions, remember to occasionally check your app store to ensure you're using the latest version of the Fortum app. We improve the app 1–3 times a month.
Frequently asked questions about the Fortum app
The Fortum app is a mobile application designed for Fortum’s household customers. With the app, you can check your contract status and customer benefit program rewards anytime, anywhere, and track your electricity usage over selected time periods.
The app offers versatile reporting features: you can monitor your consumption and costs on a daily or weekly level and easily compare them to previous periods.
When you move, you can use the app to easily transfer your current contract to your new home and set the end date for your old address.
If you don’t have the Fortum app on your phone yet, download it from your app store. Accept the terms and log in with your Fortum account – or create one.
The Fortum app is primarily intended for Fortum’s household customers who have an electricity contract with Fortum. In addition, the app displays basic information about your other valid agreements, such as insurance policies you’ve purchased through Fortum.
If you don’t have the Fortum app on your phone yet, download it now from your app store! Start using the service by accepting the terms and logging in with your Fortum account. If you don’t have a Fortum account yet, you can create one from the start screen.
The Fortum app, designed for household customers, is free of charge for Fortum electricity contract customers.
You can download the Fortum app from your phone’s app store.
Then log in with your Fortum account (recommended). If you don’t have a Fortum account yet, create one first (your email address + a password) using strong authentication, such as bank or mobile identification.
After this, you won’t need to log in separately every time. The app will open right away when you tap the icon on your phone.
You can also create a Fortum account here, just start by authenticating with your bank or mobile ID.
If the contracts are under the same customer number and both are active, they should appear in the app. You can view contract details and invoices in the app. To switch between usage locations, swipe the electricity consumption card from right to left on the home screen.
You can also give the locations clear names, like “Home” and “Cottage.” To edit the names, tap the person icon in the top right corner of the app.
If the contracts are under different customer numbers, you can contact our customer service and request to have them merged under one customer number so that both appear in the app.
Fortum receives its customers' electricity consumption data from local grid companies, usually once a day. The consumption data comes with hourly precision, allowing us to report your usage in the app hour by hour. Unfortunately, we do not have access to more frequent or real-time data from the same day.
Sometimes, the data from the grid company may be delayed. This can happen if the measurement data wasn't read on time or if there were issues in data transmission, such as bad weather or other technical problems. In most cases, the issue resolves itself within a couple of days.
Do you have multiple contracts or have you recently moved? If so, click the person icon in the top right corner of the app to check that all your contracts are visible. If you’ve moved, the app will also display your old home’s contract for 3 months after it has ended.
You also won’t be able to see electricity consumption data if no Fortum account has been created for your customer number. If you always log in using “Log in without an account,” the consumption data unfortunately won’t be linked to your app.
Using the “forgot password” function can be tricky if you created your Fortum account a long time ago and your personal details have since changed.
Your name, phone number, and email address must match the information you provided when the account was created.

Your customer language setting determines the language we use to send you customer letters and invoices.
However, the language of the Fortum app follows your phone’s settings, it automatically selects the language based on your device preferences.
To change the app’s language, update your phone’s language settings. Other apps built in a similar way will also use your chosen language.
If you prefer not to change your phone settings, you can use Fortum’s web service instead, where you can freely choose between Finnish, Swedish, or English. You’ll use the same Fortum account to log in as in the app.
